What is Skyward Family & Student Access? Family & Student Access is an easy-to-use website that allows parents and guardians to access information about their students from any computer with Internet access.

Frequently Asked Questions Concerning Family Access
How do I get Access? Your student's campus has a form that needs to be filled out and returned. Once verification has been made you will receive a user id and password to access the system. You can obtain the form HERE and then fill out and return it to your campus.
Once I start using Skyward Family & Student Access, how soon will teachers be expected to have assignments graded? Teachers have a five in/five out rule for all major assignments and tests. This means assignments will be posted 5 days before an assignment is due and they will have grades in 5 days after it's past due. A change was made to not show assignments as "missing" in red until after the 5 days teachers have to grade. We hope this will eliminate any confusion on whether or not the student did in fact turn it in. There are exceptions to the rules to include absences from their rooms. We urge students and parents to be patient as teachers do their best to return assignments and post grades as promptly as their schedule allows.
Who will be allowed access to my child’s information via Skyward Family & Student Access? Security of student data is a high priority for CISD. Parent or Guardian #1 and Parent or Guardian #2 will be the only ones given access. You will be expected to keep your username and password private and secure. Do not let other persons use your login account to access the system.
Do I have to apply each year, or is my login information good forever? Do I have to submit and application for each of my children? Your username and password are good forever. If you have children on other campuses, you do not need another username and do not have to reapply to access date for those children.
Do I need a different password if I have students on different campuses? No. Your username and password will allow access to information about all of your students.
I have children at more than one campus. I can see my child at the Middle School, but I can't see the information regarding my children on other campuses. Check the drop-down menu at the upper left of the screen. If any student's name is missing, please notify the Data Services Department at the number below.
I have forgotten my password and/or username. How do I get another one? You can try the forgotten password link, if that does not work, please call the Data Service Department at the number below.
Where can we use this system if we do not have Internet access at home or work? You can use the Public library or any campus library. Several churches in the area have computers for public use as well.
