Information for Parents of Home Schooled Students
 
 

Texas Education Code (TEC) 29.916 allows a public school district to permit home-schooled students who reside within the district's boundaries to participate in the administration of certain assessments. The following assessments are available for home-schooled students who are eligible to attend CISD campuses. Any questions regarding these test administrations should be directed to Linda Beseda, CISD Testing Coordinator, 817-202-1114.
 
The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be administered to all 10th and 11th graders free of charge at Cleburne High School on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Home Schooled students in the 11th grade will be allowed to take the PSAT at Cleburne HS on the same date for a charge of $15. To make arrangements for participation, please contact Lead Counselor Rebecca Duncan no later than October 5, 2011 at 817-202-1239 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. The College Board Readistep for eighth graders will be administered to all Smith and Wheat Middle School eighth graders free of charge on Thursday, November 3, 2011. To make arrangements to participate in this test, please contact the Readistep Coordinators at the campus where your child would attend, based on your address, no later than October 26, 2011 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM.
