Jackets Summer Cheer Camp June 20-22 at Smith MS

Yellow Jacket spirit will fill the gym at Smith Middle School June 20-22 as the Cleburne High School cheerleaders and mascot Super Jacket host a Summer Cheer Camp.

Two daily sessions are scheduled, with incoming kindergartners-fourth grade meeting from 3-5 p.m.  in the Smith gym, followed by session 2 for incoming fifth-ninth graders from 6-8 p.m. Under the direction of CHS Cheer Coach Christian Hardin, the 2018-19 varsity and JV cheerleaders will work with campers as they learn motion technique and placement, proper form, jumps and the fundamentals necessary in making the sport of cheer safe, effective--and fun.

The three-day camp is $60 and will include a tshirt for participants who are paid in full before the first day of instruction. Information and the camp registration form is posted on the Cleburne ISD website, www.c-isd.com. Electronic payments may be made through paypal. Questions regarding the camp may be emailed to cleburnecheerbooster@gmail.com.

Hardin is beginning her second year as coach of the Jackets cheer program. She was a high school cheerleader and a three-year member of the Tarleton State University cheer squad. She has also worked with competition cheer and dance teams as a coach and choreographer.
