Back to School Activities at All Campuses on August 9

Thursday, August 9 will be a busy one for Cleburne ISD students, with a variety of back to school events scheduled on all campuses.

Cleburne High School Fish Camp, for incoming freshmen and students new to CHS, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. From a session on what to expect as a student at CHS to student organization booths, campus tours and a Fish Camp pep rally featuring the Jacket cheer squads and the Showstoppers Dance Team, students new to CHS will be prepped for that first day of school.

Elementary students will visit their new classrooms at the annual Meet the Teacher event taking place from 4-6 p.m. at every campus. Students have the option of bringing their school supplies, to make backpacks a little lighter on that first day of school.

Smith and Wheat Middle Schools will conduct Jacket Camps from 5-8 p.m. This event is for all students and is especially encouraged for sixth graders, who will receive helpful information as first-time middle schoolers.

Evening activities will also include Meet the Teacher Night at Cleburne High School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Class schedules will available in preparation for the August 13 first day of school.
