Cleburne ISD has implemented a 1:1 Chromebook initiative giving all 6th-12th students the opportunity to use a District issued device in and out of the classroom. (UPDATE: 2017/2018 additionally, 3rd-5th grade students will have a "stay-at-school" 1:1 environment)
The purpose of the 1:1 initiative is to enhance the learning of our students by giving them the 21st century skills needed to be competitive in the local and global market.
Dear Cleburne ISD Parents and Students,
Chromebooks have been assigned to every middle and high school student to provide an equitable learning opportunity. Chromebooks enable our students to access digital resources to support a personalized learning experience, equipping them with the skills needed to be competitive in local and global markets. The proper care of student assigned technology is vital to the continued funding of the program.
Cleburne ISD will be implementing updated costs for the repair of Chromebooks beginning April 2, 2018. In an effort to make repairs more cost efficient, we have updated our repair fee structure for Chromebooks. Charges will be assessed each school year and are subject to change.
If the Chromebook is lost, stolen, or damaged, the student is required to report the incident to the librarian the next school day, and is responsible for any repair / replacement fee as shown below and in the 1:1 Student Handbook.
